SETUP USING NOCS MONOLITH/MINI APP

 

  1. Download the Nocs app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Switch on the Monolith eg plug in the power cable.
  3. The LED flashes green slowly to indicate that the Monolith is ready for setup.
  4. Open the Nocs app on your iOS or Android device and follow the simple guide with in the app to set-up your speaker to the WiFi network.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

 

  1. Read, follow and keep these instructions.
  2. Do not use this device near any sort of liquids.
  3. Do not expose this device to dripping or splashing and ensure that no objects filled with liquids are placed on the device.
  4. Do not block the vent holes.
  5. Install according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Do not install near heat sources such as radiators, or other devices that produce heat.
  7. Protect the power cord from all wear and tear.
  8. Only use cables/power supplies/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  9. Unplug this device during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  10. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

 

WARNINGS

 

  • To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not expose this device to rain or moisture.
  • Maximum recommended operating temperature is 40°C.
  • No naked flame sources – such as candles – should be placed on the device.
  • This device is intended to be operated ONLY from the voltages listed on the rear panel of the right side speaker.

The WEEE mark indicates that this device conforms to European Directive 2012/19/EU WEEE concerning Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. This device must not be disposed together with the domestic waste. This device has to be disposed at an authorized place for recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. By collecting and recycling waste, you help save natural resources, and make sure the device is disposed in an environmental friendly and healthy way. Note: The WEEE mark applies only to countries within the European Union (EU) and Norway.

When unboxing the Monolith for the first time, it is advised to spend time getting familiar with the product.

1. MONOLITH WIRELESS CONNECTIONS


The Monolith has three different wireless connection technolo- gies, Spotify Connect, Tidal and Bluetooth
®. So you can stream your music seamless from your device of choice directly to the Monolith. 

1.2 ABOUT Bluetooth®
Bluetooth® is a universal pairing technology featured on iOS, Android.

 

2. GETTING STARTED
The Monolith has been designed to offer a simple and convenient, Spotify, Tidal and Bluetooth solution.

 

2.1 UNBOXING AND CONNECTING
When unboxing the Monolith for the first time, it is advised to get familiar with the product.

 

2.2 SWITCHING ON AND OFF

  • The Monolith is automatically switched on once the power cable is connected.
  • If the Monolith has not been setup before, the LED will flash green slowly to indicate that the speaker is ready to be setup.
  • If the Monolith has already been properly setup, the LED turns solid green.
  • To switch off, unplug the power cable.

 

2.3 STANDBY FUNCTION


When the Monolith has been without signal from any of the audio inputs for a few seconds it will enter power save mode. It will auto- matically be reactivated by just sending a singal from your device.

3. FIRST TIME SETUP
If you want to use your NS2 with Bluetooth please go to section 4.2

 

3.1 SETUP USING NOCS MONOLITH APP

 

  1. Download the Nocs Monolith app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Switch on the Monolith eg plug in the power cable.
  3. The LED flashes green slowly to indicate that the Monolith is ready for setup.
  4. Open the Nocs Monolith app on your iOS or Android device and follow the simple guide with in the app to set-up your speaker to the WiFi network.

 

4. USAGE
Once the setup is finished, the Monolith can be fully operated from a Mac, PC, iOS, or Android device.

5.CONFIGURE TWO OR MORE DEVICES

In addition, you can group two speakers connected with Nocs App as a stereo pair for a wider, more immersive sound stage. Thus, it can work with almost every music listening option.

1. Open Nocs App.

2. Select the device and click the plus sign in the upper right corner +

3. Select the other Nocs product eg Mini/Monolith, click “Done”

4. Click the LR icon” ” and set the device to "L/R/LR"

5. Select Browse tab, choose your music to play.

 

4.1 Bluetooth ®
In order to connect with the Monolith make sure that the speaker is paired with the device. Press the “SOURCE“ button to switch to Bluetooth mode, the status LED will change to a solid blue color.

 

If connecting for the first time, pressing the “SOURCE“ button will set the speaker in Bluetooth pairing mode. The status LED will start flashing blue.

 

To pair manualy:

 

  1. Power the Monolith on and press and hold the “SOURCE” button until the LED flashes blue.
  2.  Enable the Bluetooth® feature in the device that it is pairing with, and scan or search to display MONOLITH.
  3. Approve the pairing and connection by selecting MONOLITH from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED turns solid blue.

 

4.2 Spotify Connect
Use your phone, tablet or computer as a remote control for Spotify. Go to spotify.com/connect to learn how.

 

4.3 Tidal Connect

4.5 AUTOMATIC INPUT SWITCHING
The Monolith automatically switches between audio sources such as AirPlay or Tidal when an audio stream is detected.

 

5. FIRMWARE UPDATE
The latest firmware will be automatically available from the Nocs Monolith app. Follow the in-app instructions once prompted.

 

6. FACTORY RESET
To reset the Monolith to factory settings, please follow below in- struction.

  1. Switch on the Monolith.
  2. Wait until the status LED turns solid green or blue.
  3. Press and hold the “RESET” button for minimum 6 seconds.
  4. The Monolith will reset to factory settings, this might take 2-3
  5. minutes.
  6. The status LED will start flashing green indicating that the Monolith is ready to setup.

 

7. CLEANING THE SPEAKERS


Always use a dry, clean and lint-free cloth without cleaning agents. Never directly touch the speaker elements.

 

8. TROUBLESHOOTING AND SUPPORT


Monolith does not reconnect to the wireless network after setup

1. Restart the wireless network by unplugging the wireless router.
2. Restart the Monolith.

 

9. RECYCLING


Contact a local recycling center for information regarding how to proceed when it is time to discard the product.

WARRANTY


Nocs warrants that this product is free from manufacturing and material defects at the time of purchase and during the coming one (1) year. The warranty does not limit binding legislation or the consumer’s statutory right. The warranty is valid provided that the party selling the product does not issue other warranties and that the following terms and conditions are met:

  • The warranty is valid provided that the owner can provide a receipt with the date and place of purchase.
  • The warranty is valid provided that the product has been purchased from an authorized reseller.
  • The warranty is valid provided that the product is not damaged due to improper treatment such as heat, cold, humidity, magnetism, abnormal wear, modification or force majeure.
  • The warranty is valid provided that the product is not damaged as a result of misinterpretation of the instructions.
  • The warranty is valid provided that the product has not been put through service, modification or any other kind of handling by an unauthorized person.
  • The warranty is valid provided that the serial numbers are un altered and readable.
  • The warranty is limited to the replacement of the product and does not include transportation, handling or any other incremental costs.
  • The warranty is limited to the original owner of the product.
  • The warranty is applicable only to defects related to the materials and workmanship as of the time of purchase and a reasonable amount of wears during the following one year.

 

HOW TO CLAIM WARRANTY


In case you have concerns regarding your Nocs product, contact the point of purchase. A valid warranty claim requires a receipt with the date and place of purchase. Never send products directly to Nocs.
